February 2008

Emma is 3 1/2 months and getting so big. She is very long, so much so that her feet are almost too long for her size 6 month pj's. She is a very happy baby. She smiles all the time and now laughs out loud. She has been cooing a lot too. She's almost big enough for her mega saucer. I can't wait until I can put her in that and in the door jumpy. Izzy LOVED both of those toys when she was little. Emma can roll from her stomach to her back and she rolls to her side when she is on her back. She has almost found her feet and has found her hands. She likes to suck on her fists, both at the same time. She still spits up A LOT!! I have to change her outfit at least 4 times a day. It's really ridiculous. Izzy always says, "Oh no!" when Emma spits up and then she gets the burp cloth and wipes her mouth. What a good big sister she is.

Izzy is saying new words and phrases everyday. She's even started singing. We really have to watch what we say because she repeats everything. She can say, "Bye, I love you!" Which just completely melts your heart when you hear it. But the other day we were leaving Target and she waved at the store and said, "Bye, I love you!" to Target. Either we go there way too much or she has no idea what she's saying. Either way it's still cute. She also says it when her cartoons are over. At the end of every cartoon, "Bye, I love you!" She also likes to dance and spin in circles. She has started climbing and really likes to play on her sisters glider and bouncy seat. Recently she's started helping do the laundry and she really likes to help put the clothes away. She likes to do whatever I'm doing. I was dancing in the kitchen the other day with Emma and she went and got her baby doll and started spinning in circles in the kitchen with me. It was really cute. And she has been swaddling  EVERYTHING. She was walking around the house the other day with a screw driver swaddled in a dish towel. She really likes to brush her teeth. We've been getting in disagreements about it because she wants to stand on her step stool and brush her teeth all day. I just can't stand there all day. She pitches a fit and then gets over it. Oh, she also knows how to mail a letter. She loves to carry the letters to the mailbox, open it, put them in, close it and lift the flag. It's a daily activity thanks to Blockbuster online. Other than that we've just been playing outside a lot and enjoying the warmer weather. We can't wait for summer!
